Humana to Host Virtual Informational Meetings
 
 
Humana is pleased to offer Medicare-eligible PEIA retirees, Medicare-eligible spouses, and dependents of PEIA retirees an opportunity to learn more about the PEIA Humana Group Medicare Advantage PPO plan for 2021. Due to the COVID-19 virus and Humana’s concern for the safety of PEIA members, virtual teleconference informational meetings will be held in place of our usual in person meetings. Please review the list below and note the locations listed. If you would have attended a meeting at the location listed, please try to join either by logging on via your computer or calling in at that day and time. If you are unable to join us at that time, there will be two general meetings (October 21 and 22) available for you to attend. Out-of-state members are welcome to call into any meeting based upon their availability.

If you plan to attend one of the informational meetings listed above, please call Humana’s Group Medicare Customer Service team at (800) 783-4599 (TTY:711), Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. Eastern Standard Time to reserve your spot. You are not required to RSVP to attend any of the meetings, but it is recommended.

Humana provides medical and prescription drug benefits for Medicare-primary members. For answers to questions about eligibility, health claims, benefits, and claim appeals, please call Humana at 1-800-783-4599.
 
Open Enrollment for Medicare retirees is held each October, with benefits effective on January 1. Medicare retirees’ plan year runs from January through December.
 
Medicare offers prescription drug coverage through a program called Medicare Part D. Please be aware that you should NOT purchase Medicare Part D coverage. You DO NOT need to enroll in a separate Medicare Part D plan, since PEIA will provide prescription drug coverage for retirees with Medicare. If you enroll in a separate Medicare Part D plan, you will be disenrolled from all medical and prescription benefits from PEIA. You will have only original Medicare Parts A, B and D with no secondary coverage.
 
Humana Silver Sneakers Program
SilverSneakers is a fitness benefit Humana/ PEIA Medicare eligible  members that includes access to 13,000+ fitness locations* nationwide, group exercise classes led by certified instructors, and online resources. Eligible plan members simply show their personal SilverSneakers ID number at the front desk of any participating location to use the benefit. Members may get their SilverSneakers ID number and find locations and classes at www.silversneakers.com. Members with additional questions should call 1-888-423-4632 (TTY: 711) Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. ET.
*At-home kits are offered for members who want to start working out at home or for those who can’t get to a fitness location due to injury, illness or being homebound
