​​​Open Enrollment for Plan Year 2023 will be April 2-May 15, 2022
 
During open enrollment, you can change your health plan, add, drop or change coverage for yourself and your dependents without a qualifying event, and make changes to your Mountaineer Flexible Benefits, if applicable.   
 
Policyholders will receive a Shopper’s Guide that has information you need about the health coverage PEIA offers.  If you don’t find your answers in the Shopper’s Guide, you can visit one of our benefit fairs.  There you’ll find representatives of PEIA, UMR, The Health Plan, MetLife, Mountaineer Flexible Benefits, Humana and iSelectMD.

The Plan Year 2023 Shopper's Guide is available online at https://peia.wv.gov/Forms-Downloads/Pages/Shopper's-Guides.aspx​. Please note that there is an error in the printed and mailed version of the guide on page 11. The online version has been corrected.​

PEIA will be transferring to a new pharmacy benefit manager beginning July 1, 2022.
New Preferred Drug List from Express Scripts (valid for July 1, 2022) 

PLEASE NOTE: Effective July 1, 2022, PEIA's pharmacy benefit manager will be changing to Express Sc​ripts. With this change, FreeStyle and OneTouch brand meters and test strips will be the preferred blood glucose products. Please see the flyers below for more information.

​​​Manage My Benefits Planned Outages
PEIA has been notified that our internet service provider will be performing necessary maintenance over the next three weekends. Because of this upgrade, the Manage My Benefits website will be offline each Saturday beginning at 1 p.m. and continuing until that day's work is done, and will also be offline each Sunday from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m.

On Sunday, May 15, 2022, the last day of Open Enrollment, the system will be unavailable from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. You will be required to take care of any Open Enrollment transactions you need to complete outside of these times.​

If you are unable to complete your enrollment online, you may request a transfer form be mailed to you by calling our Open Enrollment Helpline at 1-877-676-5573. Transfer forms need to be signed no later than Sunday, May 15, 2022, and turned in to your agency's Benefit Coordinator as soon as complete.

Remember, you have until 11 p.m. on Sunday, May 15, 2022, to make any Open Enrollment changes. ​
